Registering/Signing in/User Profile

Q: How to create a new account?

A: Creating an account is very easy and fast, click the “Sign In / Register” or "My Account" button and click your preferred social icon button to sign in with your social networking account, or enter your email address in the "Create an account" section (please type your email very carefully and double-check after typing to avoid any mistake) and then click "Create an Account" and follow the instructions, an email with your account details will be sent after completing the sign-up process, if you don't see the email in your inbox then check your spam or junk mails and add our email address to your contact list to ensure email delivery in your inbox in the future.


Q: I forgot my password, what should I do?

A: Go to the sign-in page and click on the “Forgot Your Password” link and enter your email address in the space provided and click “Retrieve Password”.

An email with the password reset link is sent immediately after submitting your request, click the password reset link in the email, and you'll get another email instantly including your new password after clicking the password reset link.

If you don't see the email in your inbox then check your spam or junk mail and add our email address to your contact list to ensure email delivery in your inbox in the future.


Q: How do I change my password, email, or personal info?

A: Sign in and click on the “My Account” tab. It will open your user profile and you will be able to edit your info.


Downloading the Embroidery Designs

Q: How can I download my purchased/free designs?

A: All designs are instant download, just click “MY DOWNLOADS” on the main menu on the website to download your designs.

An email with the download link(s) is also sent immediately after placing the order. If you don't see the email in your inbox, then check your spam or junk mail and add our email address to your contact list to ensure email delivery in your inbox in the future. 

You can also download the embroidery designs from the “My Account” section, sign in and click “My Account” at the main menu, and then click "MY DOWNLOADS"

All files are zipped, so please make sure you have the appropriate software to view and unzip the files before ordering. We do not provide unzipped files.

Please search the web for "How to unzip files" if you don't know how to do that.


Q: I lost a design I purchased, can I download it again?

A: Sure! You can log in and download your design(s) from “My Account” Anytime!


Q: How many embroidery design formats do you offer?

A: We offer designs in all major file formats for popular embroidery machines such as Brother, Baby Lock, Bernina, Janome, Husqvarna Viking, Singer, Pfaff, and many more.
These are the file formats we offer: PES, XXX, VIP, VP3, HUS, JEF, SEW, EXP, PCS, DST, BX (Only for embroidery fonts), And ART (Only for newer designs, starting from the "Valentine Gnome-10 Embroidery Design" in the design catalog. Please always read the design description to see if it is available in your preferred file format, we won't be able to provide support to convert the design files.


Q: How many design sizes do you offer?

A: The designs are available in different sizes according to the design type and dimension, please read the design description by clicking the "VIEW" button on the design before ordering.

Please note: 4x4, 5x7, 6x10, 8x8, 12x12, etc. are the Hoop sizes, not the actual design size, if you're not sure about the size then please get in touch with us before ordering.


Using the Embroidery Designs

Q: May I sell stuff I stitch with your embroidery designs? What’s your licensing policy?

A: The short answer: Absolutely! You may sell items you embroider with our embroidery designs, just keep the embroidery design files to yourself, embroidery design files can't be sold or shared with anyone, for more details please check our Copyright Rules.


Q: May I use the images of your stitch-outs in my online shop?

A: Sure! You're welcome to use the images of the stitch-outs from our website to show what embroidery designs you have available to stitch on things for people, just credit them "Design Courtesy of www.sewsweetly.com."


Q: Where’s the color sequence sheet for the machine embroidery/applique design I purchased?

A: A PDF file with the design image and thread color chart (Madeira Classic Rayon) is included with the design in the zip file. You can download the Madeira Classic Rayon shade card here- https://www.madeira.com/embroidery-solutions/service/support/shade-cards.


Q: Can I resize the embroidery designs?

A: Officially, we don’t recommend resizing the embroidery designs. That said, people often have success making them about 10 percent larger or smaller, maybe just a touch more. Halving or doubling the size of a design is likely to result in stitching that’s too dense, too thin, or just plain wonky. We just can’t be responsible for how a design stitches out at a size other than the ones for sale on the website, too many variables are beyond our control.


Custom Embroidery Digitizing

Q: What do you charge for custom embroidery digitizing?

A: We offer flat-rate custom embroidery digitizing. Pricing depends on the complexity of the design, we don’t charge based on the design size or per 1000 stitches, just send your design image and we will quote according to the design complexity.


Q: What is your turnaround time for custom embroidery digitizing?

A: Turnaround time depends on the complexity of the design and availability. Usually, we take 24-72 hours.


Q: Why is your custom embroidery digitizing page inactive sometimes?

A: We don't take new digitizing orders until we have completed the existing orders. Please check back in a few days to see if new orders are being accepted.


Q: Do you digitize copyrighted designs?

A: No, we don't digitize copyrighted designs. Please make sure you've gotten proper permissions for the artwork before submitting the digitizing request. We won't be responsible for any copyright issues.

We won't check if a design or clip art is copyrighted, that's your responsibility before submitting the request.


Voucher/Discount Codes

Voucher/Discount codes can be used on the cart summary page.


Q: Why I'm unable to use a discount code sometimes?

A: All voucher codes are disabled during a sale except for some special vouchers.


Gift Cards Terms And Conditions

1. The Gift Card vouchers can only be used on the Sew Sweetly website (https://www.sewsweetly.com).

2. The Gift Card vouchers are valid for one year.

3. The Gift Card voucher is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash in part or full and is valid for a single transaction only.

4. The Gift Card vouchers cannot be redeemed to purchase Gift Cards.

Q: How to submit my embroidery project?

A: You can submit your embroidery projects under "My Account => My Embroidery Projects". Click HERE to submit your project now.


Q: How to get my free design set?

A: You will receive an email with a special voucher code once your project is approved.


Q: How to use my special voucher code?

A: You can use your converted voucher codes under the "Embroidery Project Gift" category. Click HERE and add the design set to your cart, and then use the special voucher code at the checkout page.


Embroidery projects terms and conditions

1. Please submit an embroidery project that includes only Sew Sweetly designs.

2. Please include a detailed description of your embroidery project and a stitched-out image of the design.

3. Please include the following information in the description: Your embroidery machine type, thread brand, hoop size, and other embroidery supplies used in your embroidery project.

4. By submitting your embroidery project to Sew Sweetly, you are granting us a non-exclusive, permanent, irrevocable, unlimited license to use, publish, or re-publish your embroidery project and stitched-out images. You retain copyright over the embroidery project.

5. Please do not post any personal/confidential information or photos/videos that you wouldn’t want to be seen by the public.

6. Sew Sweetly reserves the right to approve, disapprove, or delete any submitted embroidery project for any reason or no reason at all.


Payment and Refunds

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: PayPal and Mastercard/Visa credit and debit cards are accepted for payments.


Refund terms and conditions

Please provide a stitched-out image of the design with your refund request. We will check the design, and if there is a problem with the design, we will process the refund.

Please note: Refund requests without proof of stitched-out images will not be accepted.
